Sophie White, contributor to IMAGE magazine, and co-host of The Spill

Sophie White is an author, columnist and podcaster. In former lives, she was a chef, a ski bum, a nude model and a serial instigator of human pyramids - she can still be found engaging in all these pursuits though no longer in a professional capacity. Her first book Recipes for A Nervous Breakdown mingled memoir and recipes and was nominated for an Irish Book Award. She is working on her second book.

You’ll find me...

Reading... everything by Meg Wolitzer, Jeffrey Eugenides, Elizabeth Strout, Anita Shreve and Armistead Maupin.

Listening to... true crime podcasts and the funniest Irish podcast ever, Dream Gun Film Reads.

Travelling to... the West Of Ireland. I love Kerry, Connemara and Donegal. My dream trip would be to go back to Inis Meain suites, the landscape is sublime, the food is incredible and the rooms are pure luxury.

Admiring... food. Always. Food in books, in magazines, on TV or on the plates of others!
